The FC Gigant fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andreas Överman should have stopped the shot. Rikard Drake charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rikard Drake the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Gigant's Rikard Drake got a free kick in the 26th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Övre Soppero Idrottsklubb's Erik Wallin tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ulf Stenkvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andreas Överman having to make a save. Hans Berglund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börje Berg, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, Övre Soppero Idrottsklubb's Sture Forsberg got a free kick in the 35th minute. After recieving a nice pass, FC Gigant's Bo Beckman tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. FC Gigant's Andreas Överman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save FC Gigant from getting a goal against them. When André Falkrans came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Övre Soppero Idrottsklubb fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Falkrans couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Gigant's zone, Ulf Stenkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andreas Överman came out of the goal and Ulf Stenkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ulf Stenkvist was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Övre Soppero Idrottsklubb booed when FC Gigant was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo Beckman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute, André Falkrans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christopher Skräddare hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. FC Gigant's Andreas Överman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Falkrans in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to FC Gigant getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Johannes Tingberg hit a great ball. When Övre Soppero Idrottsklubb's Ulf Stenkvist in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Övre Soppero Idrottsklubb's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Falkrans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
