In the 9th minute, Västerhaninge's Per-Åke Björkman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Anders Westerstrand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Västerhaninge's Lars Ström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Westerstrand in the 15th minute of play. When Sebastian Håning came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Västerhaninge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Håning couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Åke Björkman in the 25th minute of play forced Brap Stockholm's goalkeeper Kurt Damm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gösta Lundin might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lars Ström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gösta Lundin ran back to his position shaking his head. Kurt Damm made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Håning in the 33rd minute. 37 minutes into the game, Nils Boman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brap Stockholm's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Västerhaninge the free kick. Kurt Damm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Åke Björkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven Berggren's late challenge caught a Brap Stockholm's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven Berggren helped the player get up and apologised. Sven Berggren hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Lars Ström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gösta Lundin went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gösta Lundin was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Erik Boberg in the 51st minute of play forced Brap Stockholm's goalkeeper Kurt Damm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lars Ström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gösta Lundin in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th minute, Anders Westerstrand got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute, Anders Westerstrand made a precise shot to the right of Lars Ström. Västerhaninge's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. During the 66th minute of the match Sven Berggren completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sven Berggren a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Sven Berggren hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Gösta Lundin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Ström having to interfere. Kurt Damm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Håning in the 74th minute of the match. Anders Westerstrand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Lars Ström made a huge save. Per-Åke Björkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Kurt Damm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gösta Lundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the game, Henry Collin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After 84 played minutes Brap Stockholm got a freekick which was hit by Henry Collin. Douglas Eckegren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Kurt Damm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Håning during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 96 played minutes Västerhaninge got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Håning. Lars Ström acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 97th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Karl-Michael Jönsson.
