Bengt-Rune Holmgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gösta Benet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Dick Glad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Munkes Barbie Army's Bengt-Rune Holmgren got control of the ball when David Lind tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 17th minute Gösta Benet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Rune Holmgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Lind in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bengt-Rune Holmgren, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 23rd minute Gösta Benet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Rune Holmgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute Bengt Fredriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Lindmark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite this Bengt-Rune Holmgren quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If David Lind had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt-Rune Holmgren made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when David Lind sent off a good shot on target. Josef Lindmark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magne Höijer in the 45th minute of play. The audience was convinced that David Lind's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bengt-Rune Holmgren was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Josef Lindmark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magne Höijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Gösta Benet made the kick off in the second half. If Gösta Benet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 57 minutes, Gösta Benet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hallabro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gösta Benet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gösta Benet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Hallabro's Gösta Benet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bengt-Rune Holmgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dick Glad charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dick Glad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd match minute, Hallabro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dick Glad to maneuver through the defense. Bengt-Rune Holmgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Lind went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 78th minute David Lind shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Rune Holmgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gösta Benet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Rune Holmgren having to interfere. There was no doubt that Hallabro were the better team. Hallabro's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
