After having played for 2 minutes, Birger Norberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waccoe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Birger Norberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 6 minutes, Carl Pihlgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 7th minute, Rune Johansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carl Pihlgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Torsten Hääger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the game, Vilgot Mickelsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hakkas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Waccoe the free kick. Vilgot Mickelsson hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. When Michel Julin came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Hakkas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel Julin couldn't finish the play. Thor Dahlquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Julin in the 19th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Waccoe got a freekick which was hit by Evert Törnblom. In the 23rd minute, Joel Forssell fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Thor Dahlquist, passed just outside the right post. If Michel Julin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Joel Forssell got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Waccoe's goalkeeper Thor Dahlquist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Joel Forssell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Michel Julin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 played minutes Waccoe got a freekick which was hit by Evert Törnblom. Birger Norberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Birger Norberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Hääger having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carl Pihlgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Evert Törnblom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carl Pihlgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joel Forssell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evert Törnblom hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Jon Holm was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Joel Forssell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Evert Törnblom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jon Holm, 75 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 89 minutes into the game, Michel Julin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Thor Dahlquist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Birger Norberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nils-Erik Askberg's late challenge caught a Waccoe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nils-Erik Askberg helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Hakkas's Nils-Erik Askberg got a free kick in the 95th minute. Carl Pihlgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Hakkas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
