Thanks to some nice moves Rune Andreasson could shoot a difficult shot in the 4th minute, which Gustav Springfält however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klas Hallgren in the 14th minute of play forced Osby's goalkeeper Sune Lindman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Klas Hallgren came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Byske fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klas Hallgren couldn't finish the play. Sonny Finman charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sonny Finman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th minute, Sonny Finman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osby's Sune Lindman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Qvalfeldt in the 29th minute of play. Gustav Springfält made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Erik Holmgren in the 35th minute of play. Jens-Erik Holmgren struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Gustav Springfält didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Osby. After 39 played minutes Byske got a freekick which was hit by Rasmus Bäckström. After 43 minutes of play, Byske's Dan Qvalfeldt made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sune Lindman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Klas Hallgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sune Lindman having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jens-Erik Holmgren was the one to do the kick off. Sune Lindman made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Dan Qvalfeldt sent off a good shot on target. If Dan Qvalfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Klas Hallgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sune Lindman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Byske booed when Osby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harald Britz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dan Qvalfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dan Qvalfeldt got free with Sune Lindman in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Erik Holmgren in the 69th minute of play forced Byske's goalkeeper Gustav Springfält to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rune Andreasson might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustav Springfält. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rune Andreasson ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Osby getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Rune Andreasson hit a great ball. Osby's Sune Lindman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Osby from getting a goal against them. In the 75th match minute, Osby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sonny Finman to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Osby getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Kim Apelquist hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Osby's goal looked a bit too open when Klas Hallgren came free, but Sune Lindman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Jens-Erik Holmgren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gustav Springfält was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
