After a defensive mix-up in IFK Sollentuna's zone, Kenneth Bållström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edwin Vacker came out of the goal and Kenneth Bållström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 6 played minutes IFK Sollentuna got a freekick which was hit by Eric Hedström. The audience was convinced that Bertil Låsberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edwin Vacker was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Kenneth Bållström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin Vacker having to interfere. With a little luck, Borrby IFK's Sven-Olof Rosen got control of the ball when Kevin Kvick tried to sneak it across the goal line. Torgny Vennerström's late challenge caught a IFK Sollentuna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torgny Vennerström helped the player get up and apologised. After 18 played minutes Borrby IFK got a freekick which was hit by Torgny Vennerström. Freddie Finsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Sven-Olof Rosen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kevin Kvick got free with Sven-Olof Rosen in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bertil Låsberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edwin Vacker having to make a save. Borrby IFK's Kenneth Bållström got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edwin Vacker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertil Låsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Bertil Låsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Edwin Vacker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven-Oskar Karlsson kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Sven-Oskar Karlsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Elof Tönnberg sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and IFK Sollentuna's Edwin Vacker didn't even have to move. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bertil Låsberg in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edwin Vacker saved IFK Sollentuna from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bertil Låsberg to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Borrby IFK's Kenneth Bållström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edwin Vacker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Borrby IFK's Edwin Vacker threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bertil Låsberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 95th minute Kevin Kvick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Olof Rosen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddie Finsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Borrby IFK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
