Magne Trillkott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Lidsjöberg FK defense, Morgan Jonasson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rune Kihlberg. The Lidsjöberg FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rune Kihlberg should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Nyberg during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Lidsjöberg FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Nyberg to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Vemdalen's Morgan Jonasson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rune Kihlberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Göran Bammerman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Fabian Stål made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Göran Bammerman made a kick off. Carl Sjödin kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. If Göran Bammerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th match minute, Lidsjöberg FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fritz Nyström to maneuver through the defense. Gottfrid Modig struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Rune Kihlberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vemdalen. The Vemdalen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vemdalen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
