The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Mattsson in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mårten Axelsson saved Bohus IFK from getting behind. Mårten Axelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Mattsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute, Dan Beck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bohus IFK's Mårten Axelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Oskar Ahlqvist in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute Gabriel Mattsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mårten Axelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per Wennerqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Per Wennerqvist got free with Bengt-Arne Salqvist in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 23 played minutes Korsberga got a freekick which was hit by Esbjörn Kullgren. 27 minutes into the match, Korsberga's Gabriel Mattsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mårten Axelsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Korsberga booed when Bohus IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaf Liljeström didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Korsberga's Karl-Oskar Ahlqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mårten Axelsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Korsberga booed when Bohus IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilhelm Strandberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bengt-Arne Salqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Per Wennerqvist in the 34th minute. Felix Elg walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Petter Kvalfält kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Sven-Åke Kilman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bengt-Arne Salqvist having to make a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriel Mattsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Per Wennerqvist came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Bohus IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per Wennerqvist couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Gabriel Mattsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mårten Axelsson. That made the score 0-1 in the 61 minute of play. If Sven-Åke Kilman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl-Oskar Ahlqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Mårten Axelsson made a huge save. In the 75th minute Gabriel Mattsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mårten Axelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Per Wennerqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Mattsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mårten Axelsson having to interfere. Bohus IFK's Mårten Axelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Mattsson in the 86th minute of play. If Per Wennerqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Korsberga's goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Salqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Bohus IFK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Korsberga's performance. The match ended with a win for Korsberga.
