Boris Sjödin charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boris Sjödin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd match minute, Grums IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Sjödin to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vemhån BK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! If Karl Öman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jens-Åke Björkkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Vemhån BK's goal looked a bit too open when Sakarias Vallgren came free, but Simon Deckberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Stig-Arne Blomquist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute of the match Grums IK got a corner. Vemhån BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joachim Samuelsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Karl Öman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Bengt Brummer made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Grums IK's zone, Karl Öman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt Brummer came out of the goal and Karl Öman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sakarias Vallgren was the one to do the kick off. Simon Deckberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sakarias Vallgren in the 52nd minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, Joakim Forsell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bengt Brummer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Sakarias Vallgren came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Grums IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sakarias Vallgren couldn't finish the play. Sakarias Vallgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Simon Deckberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt Brummer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Öman in the 69th minute of play. Vemhån BK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Elias Josefsson in the 72nd minute. The corner ended in Stig-Arne Blomquist almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Grums IK's Bengt Brummer did a great save. 74 minutes into the match, Sakarias Vallgren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon Deckberg. Vemhån BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sakarias Vallgren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After a rather tough play, Grums IK's Mikael Tomasson got a free kick in the 77th minute. Karl Öman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Bengt Brummer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Vemhån BK's goalkeeper Simon Deckberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jens-Åke Björkkvist. In the 89th minute, Joakim Forsell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Joakim Forsell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Karl Öman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vemhån BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Öman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt Brummer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
