Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Evert Höijer started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the game, Mörlunda's Edgar Ström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonas Holm made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Kalle Odman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert Höijer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgar Ström in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonas Holm, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nils Hedbom's late challenge caught a Kovland IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nils Hedbom helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Mörlunda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Henriksson to maneuver through the defense. Jonas Holm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Ström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Mörlunda's goal looked a bit too open when Evert Grelsson came free, but Kalle Odman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Mörlunda's Sonny Bergfeldt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonas Holm narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonas Holm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sonny Bergfeldt in the 30th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Sonny Bergfeldt fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jonas Holm, passed just outside the right post. Evert Grelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Kalle Odman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Christian Vennerkvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Kalle Odman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sonny Bergfeldt was the one to do the kick off. Evert Höijer might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kalle Odman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evert Höijer ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonas Holm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sonny Bergfeldt in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to Kovland IF getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Svante Helström hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Evert Grelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kovland IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Evert Grelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kalle Odman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th minute, Adam Henriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute of the match Mårten Östensson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonas Holm showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Edgar Ström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Holm having to interfere. Kalle Odman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evert Grelsson in the 82nd minute. Evert Höijer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Kalle Odman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Kovland IF booed when Mörlunda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Åkesson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kovland IF's Evert Höijer got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Kovland IF's Andy Nordgren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kalle Odman. Kalle Odman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kovland IF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
