Eskil Ek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andréas Lundqvist having to interfere. After some careless play in the FC George Wassouf defense, Simon Svartengren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andréas Lundqvist. The FC George Wassouf fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andréas Lundqvist should have stopped the shot. Andréas Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eskil Ek in the 22nd minute of play. If Erland Rönn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Lennart Hedin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Erik Mattsson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Simon Svartengren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andréas Lundqvist having to interfere. Andréas Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Svartengren in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute Eskil Ek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andréas Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ove Eliasson fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC George Wassouf's protests and gave Ove Eliasson a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC George Wassouf's Ove Eliasson got a free kick in the 40th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eskil Ek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Lennart Hedin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Västerlanda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC George Wassouf the free kick. After 52 played minutes Västerlanda got a freekick which was hit by Lennart Hedin. Christian Kielstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Mattsson in the 54th minute of the match. Petter Lundin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mikael Lövkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mikael Lövkvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th minute, Mikael Lövkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute of the match FC George Wassouf got a corner. Västerlanda's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. William Jansson ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on FC George Wassouf's corner William Jansson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Christian Kielstedt quite easily take care of the ball. If Petter Lundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the game, Rikard Larsfelt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC George Wassouf's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Västerlanda the free kick. In the 67th minute, Rikard Larsfelt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Svartengrens short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Andréas Lundqvist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Västerlanda's Christian Kielstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erland Rönn in the 76th minute of play. Andréas Lundqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eskil Ek in the 80th minute of the match. Simon Svartengren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Andréas Lundqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 88 minutes, Kaj Dahlquist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Västerlanda and the FC George Wassouf players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Västerlanda's zone, Petter Lundin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Kielstedt came out of the goal and Petter Lundin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
