Patrick Brolin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Anton Asklund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patrick Brolin was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Anton Asklunds short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Patrick Brolin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Österskär booed when IFK Malmö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niklas Ödmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Tunström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anton Asklund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patrick Brolin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Asklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. IFK Malmö fully deserved thier win.
