Christer Kielberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hjalmar Landin in the 7th minute of play. Greger Dahlgren charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Greger Dahlgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gammelstads IF's Greger Dahlgren got a free kick in the 19th minute. Carl Galle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Ture Kullgren made a huge save. The supporters of Gammelstads IF booed when Bredbyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Gudmundsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Gammelstads IF's Viktor Asklöv broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Hjalmar Landin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christer Kielberg having to interfere. Hjalmar Landin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hjalmar Landin in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christer Kielberg saved Gammelstads IF from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Hjalmar Landin made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Filip Billström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bredbyn's supporters rose to their feet, but Filip Billström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christer Kielberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filip Billström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carl Galle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ture Kullgren having to interfere. If Carl Galle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Greger Dahlgren was shown his second yellow card after 66 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Greger Dahlgren hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Christer Kielberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hjalmar Landin in the 68th minute of the match. Christer Kielberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hjalmar Landin's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Harry Mikaelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute of the match Karl-Åke Högberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christer Kielberg skillfully saved the ball. Christer Kielberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hjalmar Landin, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 96th minute, Karl-Åke Högberg sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gammelstads IF's Christer Kielberg didn't even have to move. Bredbyn were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
