The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 12 minutes into the game, Klas Öberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arboga FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Millwall FC the free kick. A collision led to Arboga FF getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Klas Öberg hit a great ball. Lars-Erik Busk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. During the 25th minute of the match Klas Öberg completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Klas Öberg a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 25th minute, Klas Öberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Gustaf Olsson sped through Arboga FF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thomas Bergsten. 30 minutes into the match, Millwall FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bertil Sigfridsson came free, but Karl-Michael Lindqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustaf Olsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simon Magnusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustaf Olsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Thomas Bergsten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaf Olsson in the 45th minute of play forced Arboga FF's goalkeeper Thomas Bergsten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Michael Lindqvist made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Bertil Sigfridsson sent off a good shot on target.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bertil Sigfridsson made a kick off. Gustaf Olsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Arboga FF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Millwall FC. Markus Tingelholm stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Thomas Bergsten. 1-2. Arboga FF's Thomas Bergsten proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Arboga FF from getting a goal against them. Markus Tingelholm was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Simon Magnusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Millwall FC booed when Arboga FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars-Erik Busk didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Millwall FC's zone, Bertil Sigfridsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Michael Lindqvist came out of the goal and Bertil Sigfridsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bertil Sigfridsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Karl-Michael Lindqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
