Rusksele FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Riv & Slit the free kick. In the 10th minute, Albert Fanström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Albert Fanström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven-Erik Månsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Charlie Ekström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sven-Erik Månsson ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Henry Siggman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rusksele FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry Siggman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henric Brander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Rusksele FK booed when Riv & Slit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonny Moberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Fanström in the 28th minute of play forced Rusksele FK's goalkeeper Charlie Ekström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sven-Erik Månsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charlie Ekström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Erik Månsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Riv & Slit's Albert Fanström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Charlie Ekström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Gustaf Ahlrot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sven-Erik Månsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Charlie Ekström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sven-Erik Månsson ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Rusksele FK defense, Albert Fanström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Charlie Ekström. The Rusksele FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Charlie Ekström should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Henry Siggman made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Rusksele FK getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Melker Simonsson hit a great ball. Sven-Erik Månsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Ekström having to interfere. Sven-Erik Månsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albert Fanström in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charlie Ekström saved Rusksele FK from getting behind. Charlie Ekström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Erik Månsson in the 66th minute. Charlie Ekström was a little too slow when Sven-Erik Månsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 1-2. Sven-Erik Månsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Charlie Ekström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Riv & Slit's Charlie Ekström threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Albert Fanström, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Charlie Ekström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albert Fanström's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 85th match minute, Rusksele FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaf Ahlrot to maneuver through the defense. Henric Brander didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henry Siggman went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
