In the 29th minute, one of Bibelns Apostlar:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bibelns Apostlar. When the match had been going on for 30 minutes, Åmmeberg's Jens-Ove Klack got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Östen Torsberg. After 35 played minutes Åmmeberg got a freekick which was hit by Rolf Larsson . The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Svensson got free with Östen Torsberg in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolf Larsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Östen Torsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Olof Wennersten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilgot Bagge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Rolf Larsson sped through Bibelns Apostlar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Östen Torsberg. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Georg Söderkvist to make the kick off. After 54 minutes of play, Bibelns Apostlar's Olof Wennersten made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vilgot Bagge was left in no man's land by his defense there! Georg Söderkvist struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Vilgot Bagge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bibelns Apostlar. 61 minutes into the game, Jonathan Fastesson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Åmmeberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bibelns Apostlar the free kick. Vilgot Bagge was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Georg Söderkvist showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 64 minute of play. Kent Andersson charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 72nd minute of the match Jan Hägglund shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vilgot Bagge showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Östen Torsberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolf Larsson , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolf Larsson scored 3-3 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Östen Torsberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Georg Söderkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Georg Söderkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolf Larsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Östen Torsberg having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bibelns Apostlar's Alvar Nordin got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rolf Larsson in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Östen Torsberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
