After 12 played minutes Kista got a freekick which was hit by Anders Joensson. In the 19th minute Björn Anselius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Elg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Björn Anselius in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Elg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mårten Berglund's late challenge caught a Kista's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mårten Berglund helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th match minute, Karungi BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mårten Berglund to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Kista's zone, Björn Anselius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Elg came out of the goal and Björn Anselius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Kista defense, Tord Billvall kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivan Elg. The Kista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivan Elg should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Björn Anselius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karungi BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Björn Anselius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Elg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Björn Anselius took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Elg. Ivan Elg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Björn Anselius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ivan Elg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Kista got a freekick which was hit by Anders Joensson. In the 48th minute, Björn Forss sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Kista's Ivan Elg didn't even have to move. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Björn Anselius to strike the kick off in the second half. Ivan Elg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Arenstedt in the 53rd minute of play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivan Elg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tord Billvall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ivan Elg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Arenstedt during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ivan Elg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Anselius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute, Anders Joensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Karungi BF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kista throughout the match.
