In the 10th match minute, Sumpans Slaktare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harald Boman to maneuver through the defense. When Per-Erik Gallin fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sumpans Slaktare's protests and gave Per-Erik Gallin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute, Per-Erik Gallin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Trelleborg getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Erik Simonsson hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harald Boman in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lars Fanström saved Trelleborg from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, Trelleborg's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias Kruuse came free, but Lars Fanström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Hubert Hjortberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, Sumpans Slaktare's Harald Boman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lars Fanström. Lars Fanström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. A collision led to Sumpans Slaktare getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Mattias Kruuse hit a great ball. Gustaf Mikaelsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nils Hedlund's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Ove Hellkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Lars Fanström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ove Hellkvist got free with Lars Fanström in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lars Fanström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Per-Erik Gallin in the 37th minute. With 41 minutes on the clock, Stefan Morat commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Trelleborg:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sumpans Slaktare:s goal. Tommy Salo shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harald Boman in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lars Fanström prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The wind increased when Harald Boman made the kick off in the second half. Per-Erik Gallin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sumpans Slaktare booed when Trelleborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingmar Berggren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ove Hellkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Fanström having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, Sumpans Slaktare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Erik Gallin to maneuver through the defense. Ove Hellkvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lars Fanström having to make a save. 78 minutes into the game, Lucas Jakobsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trelleborg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sumpans Slaktare the free kick. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Trelleborg! The referee gave Sumpans Slaktare a penalty, 79 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tommy Salo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Trelleborg's Lars Fanström. 3-1. If Nils Hedlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th match minute, Sumpans Slaktare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Erik Gallin to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Sumpans Slaktare were the better team. Sumpans Slaktare's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
