Quahog United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Quahog United's Ingemar Gallin got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 20th minute, Klas Asplund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dan Bergendahl was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. If Klas Asplund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dan Bergendahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Pettersson in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to Quahog United getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Jimmie Hamnberg hit a great ball. Dan Bergendahl was a little too slow when Arne Pettersson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arne Pettersson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Futebol Club de Força's Sören Pihlwall got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 57 minutes into the game, Futebol Club de Força's Klas Asplund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dan Bergendahl made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. When Klas Asplund came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Futebol Club de Força fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klas Asplund couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Arne Pettersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Futebol Club de Força's supporters rose to their feet, but Klas Asplund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Bergendahl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the game, Futebol Club de Força's Arne Pettersson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dan Bergendahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Futebol Club de Força's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arne Pettersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dan Bergendahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arne Pettersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Erik Tomasson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Victor Jansson made a huge save. Futebol Club de Força walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
