Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Leif Nilsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute, Robin Hallgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Leif Nilsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leo Mellberg was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Elias Andreasson struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Mark Snell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vänersborg. After a rather tough play, Hällaström FF's Kenneth Hellkvist got a free kick in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Lundqvist in the 12th minute of play forced Hällaström FF's goalkeeper Mark Snell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Hällaström FF's George Lindholm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leo Mellberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 18thth minute of the game Joakim Lundqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hällaström FF's Mark Snell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. George Lindholm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Leo Mellberg made a huge save. George Lindholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 played minutes Hällaström FF got a freekick which was hit by George Lindholm. 28 minutes into the game, Joakim Lundqvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vänersborg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hällaström FF the free kick. Joakim Lundqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Andreas Lundgren's late challenge caught a Vänersborg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andreas Lundgren helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vänersborg booed when Hällaström FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Lundgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joakim Lundqvist struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Mark Snell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vänersborg. In the 46th minute, Andreas Lundgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joakim Lundqvist to make the kick off. Joakim Lundqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the game, Leif Nilsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Leo Mellberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If George Lindholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mark Snell was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joakim Lundqvist showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 78 minute of play. In the 81stth minute of the game Leif Nilsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vänersborg's Leo Mellberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leo Mellberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leif Nilsson in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Osvald Zachrisson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. George Lindholm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
