The supporters of In Flames We Trust IF booed when Otters FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Spets didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 21 minutes, Niklas Törnblom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Otters FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niklas Törnblom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute Alvar Bure shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Kellberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otters FK's Maximilian Asserlindh got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Mikael Hjälm came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Otters FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikael Hjälm couldn't finish the play. Albin Stensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Ludomir Misiewicz made a huge save. Otters FK's Ralf Kellberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvar Bure in the 35th minute of play. Maximilian Asserlindh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Otters FK's Maximilian Asserlindh got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alvar Bure was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Otters FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Lilja to maneuver through the defense. Alvar Bure's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ralf Kellberg firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Otters FK getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Urban Gustafsson hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Tomas Tingelholm in the 67th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by In Flames We Trust IF's Kim Åkerman. If Niklas Törnblom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per-Erik Trulsson charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Per-Erik Trulsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Per-Erik Trulsson kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Krister Bergvall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ralf Kellberg. Otters FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Krister Bergvall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Adam Spets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludomir Misiewicz having to interfere. Ludomir Misiewicz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niklas Törnblom's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Mikael Hjälm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Otters FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Mikael Hjälm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ludomir Misiewicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 92 played minutes In Flames We Trust IF got a freekick which was hit by Alvar Bure. In Flames We Trust IF's Ludomir Misiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklas Törnblom in the 95th minute of play. The Otters FK manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing In Flames We Trust IF to win.
