The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Isaac Strömbom struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Furia Arona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Svenshögen RK the free kick. In the 12th match minute, Furia Arona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Åke Jansson to maneuver through the defense. Gunnar Hydén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Kollberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Furia Arona's Boris Rudkvist shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 17th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Thomas Klementsson but with some difficulty. A collision led to Furia Arona getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Boris Rudkvist hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Karl-Ove Lekberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustaf Nordgren's late challenge caught a Furia Arona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustaf Nordgren helped the player get up and apologised. Gustaf Nordgren hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Sven-Ove Browall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Kollberg to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Furia Arona's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Kollberg came free, but Gunnar Hydén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Pedersson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gunnar Hydén. 0-2. When Gabriel Sjöberg came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Furia Arona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Sjöberg couldn't finish the play. 95 minutes into the match, Svenshögen RK's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Sjöberg came free, but Thomas Klementsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fritz Mickelsson charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Svenshögen RK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
