Vidar Edström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Kristiansson having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven-Oskar Sundling during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sven-Oskar Sundling hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. If Lucas Åkerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt-Rune Delin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vinninga RK! Rickard Bergstedt walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Edvin Rudberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt-Rune Delin, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Ralf Lindblom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Angered's supporters rose to their feet, but Ralf Lindblom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edvin Rudberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Andy Kristiansson managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Vinninga RK's Lucas Åkerman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Edvin Rudberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Rune Delin in the 32nd minute of the match. A collision led to Vinninga RK getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Kent Lindqvist hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Vinninga RK's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Rune Delin came free, but Edvin Rudberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Åkerman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Andy Kristiansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, Andy Kristiansson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vidar Edström to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Lindblom in the 51st minute of play forced Vinninga RK's goalkeeper Edvin Rudberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute Lucas Åkerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andy Kristiansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Lindblom in the 55th minute of play forced Vinninga RK's goalkeeper Edvin Rudberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
