The audience was convinced that Sören Finnman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Birger Thidén was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Karlholmsbruk's Börge Allbom got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half BK Repsej were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A collision led to BK Repsej getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Alex Aelenei hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Karlholmsbruk's zone, Alex Aelenei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mikael Hermansson came out of the goal and Alex Aelenei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Alex Aelenei kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mikael Hermansson. That made the score 1-3 in the 58 minute of play. Marcus Zachrisson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sören Finnman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Birger Thidén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Billberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BK Repsej's Birger Thidén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Samuelsson in the 74th minute of play. Karl Vollander kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Alex Aelenei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Magnus Telin got free with Mikael Hermansson in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Börge Allbom kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Mikael Hermansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Aelenei in the 86th minute of play. Sören Finnman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Thidén having to interfere. The Karlholmsbruk fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. BK Repsej were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
