After 6 played minutes Utö IFK got a freekick which was hit by George Kvick. 8 minutes into the match, Utö IFK's goalkeeper Kurt Kjellbom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viktor Vennerkvist. Torgny Sandberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philip Gustavsson in the 10th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Utö IFK's Olov Falk got a free kick in the 12th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomas Nyström during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute, Thomas Nyström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute Olov Persson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torgny Sandberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Philip Gustavsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torgny Sandberg having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Gusum FK's goal looked a bit too open when Philip Gustavsson came free, but Torgny Sandberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Viktor Vennerkvist struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Kurt Kjellbom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gusum FK. In the 30th minute, George Kvick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viktor Vennerkvist got free with Kurt Kjellbom in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Philip Gustavsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Torgny Sandberg having to make a save. 38 minutes into the match, Gusum FK's Alf Stabbe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kurt Kjellbom narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kurt Kjellbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Stabbe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Philip Gustavsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torgny Sandberg having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Alf Stabbe made the kick off in the second half. Alf Stabbe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kurt Kjellbom having to make a save. In the 57th minute, Villiam Utfal had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Philip Gustavsson fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Utö IFK's protests and gave Philip Gustavsson a yellow card for diving instead. Philip Gustavsson hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Viktor Vennerkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gusum FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Viktor Vennerkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Kjellbom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Torbjörn Friberger hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Viktor Vennerkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kurt Kjellbom was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Gusum FK's Viktor Vennerkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Viktor Vennerkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kurt Kjellbom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Reine Göransson hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Thomas Nyström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Torgny Sandberg managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Utö IFK's Olov Persson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kurt Kjellbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Vennerkvist in the 82nd minute of the match. Stig Gustafsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kurt Kjellbom having to make a save. The supporters of Utö IFK booed when Gusum FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Stabbe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olov Persson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Torgny Sandberg having to make a save. During the 95th minute of the match Thomas Nyström completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Thomas Nyström a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After having played for 99 minutes, Philip Gustavsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Utö IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philip Gustavsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gusum FK had won after a very even match.
