Osvald Hellström's late challenge caught a Holm RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvald Hellström helped the player get up and apologised. If Tage Ekman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the match, Tage Ekman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Karl-Åke Hökqvist, 1-0. Lennart Thedin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Axel Eriksson having to interfere. In the 17th minute of the match Robin Olsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Axel Eriksson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Holm RK's Bror Aspengren got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Tage Ekman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Åke Hökqvist having to interfere. If Lennart Thedin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tobias Tingberg fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skälvik IK's protests and gave Tobias Tingberg a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Skälvik IK's Tobias Tingberg got a free kick in the 35th minute. Tage Ekman struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Karl-Åke Hökqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skälvik IK. Alf Eriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the game, Tage Ekman lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Karl-Åke Hökqvist. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tage Ekman was the one to do the kick off. Karl-Åke Hökqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tage Ekman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennart Thedin in the 56th minute of play forced Skälvik IK's goalkeeper Axel Eriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Osvald Hellström was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 56 minutes had been played. A collision led to Skälvik IK getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Osvald Hellström hit a great ball. From a short distance, Holm RK's Lennart Thedin, in the 58th minute, tried to place the ball behind Axel Eriksson, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Holm RK's Lennart Thedin got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Tobias Melander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Fred Lundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axel Eriksson made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Tobias Melander sent off a good shot on target. Tobias Tingberg got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Skälvik IK getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Tobias Tingberg hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Holm RK defense, Alf Eriksson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Åke Hökqvist. The Holm RK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Åke Hökqvist should have stopped the shot. Tage Ekman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Karl-Åke Hökqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 99 minutes, Tage Ekman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skälvik IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tage Ekman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Skälvik IK had played much better football throughout.
