Per-Åke Göransson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Norberg having to interfere. Per-Åke Göransson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Roy Norberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils-Emil Kinnman in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roy Norberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roy Norberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Emil Kinnman, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Roy Norberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Åke Göransson in the 35th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Per-Åke Göransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Norberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roy Norberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils-Emil Kinnman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 42 minutes, Albert Karlsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Finspång IFK and the Inter FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Inter FK booed when Finspång IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Karlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nils-Emil Kinnman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Malte Clementsson got free with Gustaf Hägert in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

53 minutes into the match, Finspång IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Åke Ersman came free, but Gustaf Hägert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Malte Clementsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Malte Clementsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustaf Hägert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inter FK's Malte Clementsson got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 61 played minutes Finspång IFK got a freekick which was hit by Albert Karlsson. In the 73rd minute of the match, Nils-Emil Kinnman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roy Norberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 77th minute, Leif Vallin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Finspång IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils-Emil Kinnman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nils-Emil Kinnman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Roy Norberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Finspång IFK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
