After a rather tough play, Mariefred RK's Sten Sjödin got a free kick in the 12th minute. Johnny Håning showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rikard Sundberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Robert Nyström struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Nils Ahlroht didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mariefred RK. A hard shot 21 in the game by Ian Arvidsson from a close distance when the talented Nils Ahlroht managed to make a qualified save. l's players were relieved. In the 22nd match minute, l was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torgny Myhr to maneuver through the defense. Nils Ahlroht made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Ian Arvidsson sent off a good shot on target. Rune Skräddare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. In the 35th minute, Kenny Lund sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mariefred RK's Johnny Håning didn't even have to move. 37 minutes into the game, Rune Skräddare was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mariefred RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave l the free kick. Johnny Håning showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torgny Myhr in the 44th minute of the match. After the first half l were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Per-Olof Boklund made the kick off in the second half. Torgny Myhr kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute Robert Nyström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Ahlroht saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rikard Sundberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rikard Sundberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Johnny Håning made a huge save. Rikard Sundberg kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Sven Rolfsson's late challenge caught a Mariefred RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven Rolfsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th match minute, l was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Rolfsson to maneuver through the defense. Rikard Sundberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johnny Håning having to make a save. Ian Arvidsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nils Ahlroht having to make a save.
