Oliver Mattsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robert Nyström struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Oliver Mattsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mariefred RK. In the 14th minute Robert Nyström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ian Arvidsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Oliver Mattsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Åkarp FF's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Nyström came free, but Oliver Mattsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ian Arvidsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Mattsson having to interfere. Oliver Mattsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Nyström in the 31st minute of the match. In the 35thth minute of the game Sune Strömbom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mariefred RK's Johnny Håning was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ian Arvidsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Oliver Mattsson made a huge save. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mariefred RK's goalkeeper Johnny Håning, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robert Nyström to strike the kick off in the second half. Åkarp FF's Oliver Mattsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Arvidsson in the 55th minute of play. Sune Strömbom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Johnny Håning made a huge save. Robert Nyström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Ian Arvidsson notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Åkarp FF's Oliver Mattsson. Oliver Mattsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oliver Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Arvidsson in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute of the match Ove Käller shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oliver Mattsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mariefred RK! When the match had been going on for 82 minutes, Åkarp FF's Fred Siggman got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Johnny Håning. After having played for 86 minutes, Sune Strömbom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åkarp FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sune Strömbom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Mariefred RK's goalkeeper Johnny Håning had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sune Strömbom. Jack Bergstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Johnny Håning tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oliver Mattsson came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mariefred RK's Robert Nyström. But to his dismay, Robert Nyström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
