Kil's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kent Hultman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The supporters of Moheda booed when Kil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pelle Lenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Stig Bruse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moheda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig Bruse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dan Törnqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Åke Kollberg in the 22nd minute. After 23 played minutes Moheda got a freekick which was hit by Kent Hultman. If Emanuel Rydelius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gottfrid Alkvist hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After having played for 31 minutes, Sven-Åke Kollberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moheda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Åke Kollberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Rydelius in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Folke Eckegren saved Moheda from getting behind. Kent Hultman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Törnqvist having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Rydelius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Folke Eckegren was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. In the 46th minute, Emanuel Rydelius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Rydelius to make the kick off. In the 57th match minute, Kil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patric Forsberg to maneuver through the defense. If Kent Hultman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Kil's zone, Sven-Åke Kollberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Törnqvist came out of the goal and Sven-Åke Kollberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Rydelius in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Folke Eckegren saved Moheda from getting behind. Aron Söderberg hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 77th match minute, Kil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Örnberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute Sven-Åke Kollberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Törnqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Åke Kollberg struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Dan Törnqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moheda. Kjell Bolin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Folke Eckegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Viktor Öberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 91 minutes, Sven-Åke Kollberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moheda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Åke Kollberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kjell Bolin might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Folke Eckegren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kjell Bolin ran back to his position shaking his head. After 97 minutes, Sven-Åke Kollberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moheda and the Kil players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 97th minute, Sven-Åke Kollberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
