Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sörbygden IFK's Birger Fernström started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Reine Söderström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lofsdalen BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sörbygden IFK the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Lofsdalen BK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sörbygden IFK:s goal. Fritz Vester went to the wrong direction when Reine Mellberg was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. A collision led to Lofsdalen BK getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Calle Linqvist hit a great ball. Birger Fernström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Fritz Vester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sörbygden IFK's Kjell-Arne Lindström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malte Vacker in the 15th minute of play. Johnny Bengtsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell-Arne Lindström having to interfere. Kjell-Arne Lindström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Malte Vacker's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Birger Fernström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fritz Vester having to interfere. Malte Vacker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Sörbygden IFK's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Lindström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johnny Bengtsson. Fritz Vester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birger Fernström in the 37th minute of the match. Adrian Harman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fritz Vester stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Birger Fernström's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. After some careless play in the Lofsdalen BK defense, Adrian Harman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fritz Vester. The Lofsdalen BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fritz Vester should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Malte Vacker made a kick off. A collision led to Lofsdalen BK getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ted Bergman hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Sörbygden IFK's Reine Mellberg broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Reine Söderström hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Birger Fernström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrian Harman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fritz Vester having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Adrian Harman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fritz Vester was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Johnny Bengtsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute, Birger Fernström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Lofsdalen BK's Fritz Vester got control of the ball when Adrian Harman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Birger Fernström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Fritz Vester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Adrian Harman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute of the game, Jan-Ove Tinglöf landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The Lofsdalen BK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sörbygden IFK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
