Hjalmar Billberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olof Skoglund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hjalmar Billberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Lars Fastesson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olof Skoglund having to make a save. Lars Fastesson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Olof Skoglund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Håkan Ivarsson scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olof Skoglund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the game, FC Filovic's Håkan Ivarsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olof Skoglund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Hjalmar Billberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Fastesson in the 20th minute of play forced Mellanström FF's goalkeeper Olof Skoglund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olof Skoglund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lars Fastesson's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. If Lars Fastesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mellanström FF's goalkeeper Olof Skoglund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Olof Skoglund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hjalmar Billberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 44 minutes Mellanström FF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Allan Andreasson who took care of the corner kick. Sebastian Biörling's late challenge caught a FC Filovic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Biörling helped the player get up and apologised. Sebastian Biörling hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sture Eklund was the one to do the kick off. Lars Fastesson struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Olof Skoglund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Filovic. Lars Fastesson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FC Filovic booed when Mellanström FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Almkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Andreasson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Olof Skoglund. Mellanström FF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Johannes Lund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sture Eklund in the 72nd minute of play forced FC Filovic's goalkeeper Viktor Classon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viktor Classon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sture Eklund in the 74th minute of the match. Mellanström FF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hans Almkvist in the 76th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC Filovic's goalie and right to Erling Hegg. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC Filovic's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. FC Filovic's Viktor Classon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sture Eklund in the 80th minute of play. Erling Hegg's late challenge caught a FC Filovic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erling Hegg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd match minute, Mellanström FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erling Hegg to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 85 minutes, Hampus Nilsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mellanström FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hampus Nilsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 86 minutes, Ragnar Olenberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Filovic and the Mellanström FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ragnar Olenberg hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Hjalmar Billberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Olof Skoglund made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hjalmar Billberg got free with Olof Skoglund in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erik Bergman kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Hampus Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Filovic's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
