If Wilhelm Pilblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 5 minutes into the match, Brokinds IF's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Erik Viberg came free, but Jens Berglund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aron Hedlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustav Markusson having to interfere. 0-1 became the score in the 13th minute when Aron Hedlund elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to FC Nimes getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Wilhelm Pilblad hit a great ball. Gustav Markusson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron Hedlund in the 23rd minute of play. Brokinds IF's Torsten Wallin got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lennart Bennet during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Erik Viberg in the 40th minute of play forced Brokinds IF's goalkeeper Jens Berglund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Nimes's Gustav Markusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torsten Wallin in the 47th minute of play. The FC Nimes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Brokinds IF were winning 0-1.

FC Nimes's Lennart Bennet got his second yellow card of the match in the 56th minute. The referee ordered Lennart Bennet off the ground. The supporters of Brokinds IF booed when FC Nimes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennart Bennet didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute of the match Brokinds IF got a corner. FC Nimes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Harry Biörk ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Alf Sjödin advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-2 in the 60th minute. In the 64th minute, Torsten Wallin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brokinds IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Torsten Wallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustav Markusson having to interfere. FC Nimes's Gustav Markusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron Hedlund in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Greger Danielsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brokinds IF's Harry Biörk couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Nimes. In the 76th match minute, Brokinds IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertil Söderqwist to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilhelm Pilblad in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jens Berglund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wilhelm Pilblad might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jens Berglund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilhelm Pilblad ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 86th minute, FC Nimes's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Torsten Wallin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With an all-out effort, Brokinds IF's Gustav Markusson threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aron Hedlund, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Brokinds IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
