The supporters of Gårdsjö booed when Filipstad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Holger Eliasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Gårdsjö's Per-Åke Nord shot a high long ball. Filipstad's goalkeeper was lucky when the ball hit the right post and out. Hampus Berggren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Isaac Mickelsson made a huge save. With a little luck, Filipstad's Isaac Mickelsson got control of the ball when Hampus Berggren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gårdsjö's Emil Finsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivar Vollander in the 45th minute of play. After 47 played minutes, Filipstad's Zebastian Harlén shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emil Finsberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Filipstad reached it. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivar Vollander to make the kick off. Boris Kämpe struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Emil Finsberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Filipstad. 56 minutes into the match, Gårdsjö's goal looked a bit too open when Ivar Vollander came free, but Emil Finsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Boris Kämpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reine Wiberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hampus Berggren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Reine Wiberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 played minutes, Filipstad's Zebastian Harlén shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emil Finsberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Emil Finsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 94 minutes, Gustaf Harlén mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Filipstad and the Gårdsjö players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gustaf Harlén hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
