Åled BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IF Elfsborg the free kick. Alvar Lekberg charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvar Lekberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Åled BK booed when IF Elfsborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvar Lekberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Hjalmar Aronsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Alf Smitt in the 14th minute really tested Olof Flinck's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Edgar Barck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Måns Vollander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Timmy Andreasson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Timmy Andreasson kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 26 minutes into the game, Edgar Barck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Måns Vollander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31st minute, Oliver Zander made a precise shot to the right of Måns Vollander. IF Elfsborg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Oliver Zander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. IF Elfsborg's Måns Vollander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Barck in the 37th minute of play. Eskil Busk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olof Flinck having to interfere. If Edgar Barck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oliver Zander might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Måns Vollander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oliver Zander ran back to his position shaking his head. IF Elfsborg's Måns Vollander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Zander in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Forsberg was the one to do the kick off. Samuel Forsberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olof Flinck having to make a save. In the 56th match minute, Åled BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Karlsson to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 61 minutes, Edgar Barck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åled BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Barck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olof Flinck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eskil Busk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Åled BK's Karl Björnberg got a free kick in the 65th minute. Olof Flinck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuel Forsberg's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. The supporters of IF Elfsborg booed when Åled BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl Björnberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alf Smitt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Olof Flinck. Åled BK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 81 minutes of play, Åled BK's Edgar Barck made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Måns Vollander was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Egon Blomqvist fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Åled BK's protests and gave Egon Blomqvist a yellow card for diving instead. Egon Blomqvist hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Samuel Forsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Olof Flinck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
