After a defensive mix-up in FC Merkelen BoIS's zone, Paul Klintæus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Eliasson came out of the goal and Paul Klintæus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Paul Klintæus came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Råda IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Klintæus couldn't finish the play. FC Merkelen BoIS's Roger Larsson got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Råda IFK's Fredrik Larsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Larsson in the 37th minute of play. Jakob Ahlgren struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Fredrik Larsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Merkelen BoIS. The supporters of FC Merkelen BoIS booed when Råda IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Hjälm didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lars-Erik Olsman fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Merkelen BoIS's protests and gave Lars-Erik Olsman a yellow card for diving instead. Lars-Erik Olsman kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paul Klintæus was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Råda IFK's goalkeeper Fredrik Larsson , but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jakob Ahlgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Fredrik Larsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfred Vennerkvist helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Råda IFK's Alfred Vennerkvist got a free kick in the 68th minute. Marcus Eliasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Klintæus in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Torsberg in the 73rd minute of play forced FC Merkelen BoIS's goalkeeper Marcus Eliasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Anton Torsberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Marcus Eliasson however easily saved by the left post.
