Mikael Grönlund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vikarbyn IK. Vilhelm Lindberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Albohm in the 11th minute of play. After 12 minutes, Kim Sjögren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vikarbyn IK and the Grillby BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Vikarbyn IK's zone, Johan Lidberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vilhelm Lindberg came out of the goal and Johan Lidberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the match, Grillby BF's Emanuel Fredriksson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vilhelm Lindberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 28 minutes of play, Grillby BF's Bo Magnusson made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vilhelm Lindberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 32 minutes, Emanuel Fredriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grillby BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Fredriksson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the last second Vilhelm Lindberg throw himself and got hold of the ball when Emanuel Fredriksson in the 37thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Johan Lidberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrik Albohm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 48th minute, Johan Lidberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Joachim Kjellman made the kick off in the second half. If Emanuel Fredriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Vikarbyn IK's Staffan Tolsson got a free kick in the 54th minute. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Emanuel Fredriksson put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Vilhelm Lindberg. 64 minutes into the match, Emanuel Fredriksson notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Vikarbyn IK's Vilhelm Lindberg. Vilhelm Lindberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grillby BF's goalkeeper Mikael Grönlund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Pontus Magnusson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vikarbyn IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Pontus Magnusson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikael Grönlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute, Johan Lidberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Emanuel Fredriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grillby BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Fredriksson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vilhelm Lindberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joachim Kjellman's late challenge caught a Grillby BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joachim Kjellman helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Vikarbyn IK getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Joachim Kjellman hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johan Lidberg during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Johan Lidberg came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Grillby BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johan Lidberg couldn't finish the play. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Grillby BF! Mikael Grönlund had in the 92ndth minute some difficulties stopping Roy Blomqvist's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. If Pontus Magnusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Grillby BF were the better team. Grillby BF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
