If Per-Oskar Ahlbeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Skåpafors's Jonathan Hansson got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute Jonathan Hansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Valrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Valrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Hansson in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Anton Vennerlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jonathan Hansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Per-Oskar Ahlbeck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vetlanda IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 32 minutes into the match, Skåpafors's Ingvar Ekgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivan Valrot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 40 minutes, Jonathan Hansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skåpafors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Hansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The wind increased when Malte Svanström made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Skåpafors's goalkeeper John Jönsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ivan Valrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Hansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Vetlanda IFK's Karl Östman seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Karl Östman the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Vetlanda IFK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Karl Östman had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Vetlanda IFK booed when Skåpafors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Arne Larsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfred Vallin, 70 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Per-Oskar Ahlbeck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but John Jönsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vetlanda IFK's zone, Jonathan Hansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Valrot came out of the goal and Jonathan Hansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ingvar Ekgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jonathan Hansson came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Skåpafors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Hansson couldn't finish the play. Lennart Bergqvist hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Stig-Arne Larsson hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Ivan Valrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Ekgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
