Röstånga IF's Ivar Godholm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leif Kielstedt in the 15th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Man united's zone, Gunnar Sjöström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonatan Vedholm came out of the goal and Gunnar Sjöström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Villiam Vennerdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Andreas Matsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Villiam Vennerdal was the one to do the kick off. Ivar Godholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Villiam Vennerdal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gunnar Sjöström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Röstånga IF's Ivar Godholm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Röstånga IF from getting a goal against them. Gunnar Sjöström struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Jonatan Vedholm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Röstånga IF. In the 64th minute, Andreas Matsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonatan Vedholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunnar Sjöström in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Gunnar Sjöström made a precise shot to the right of Jonatan Vedholm. Man united's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Ivar Godholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Villiam Vennerdal in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute Gunnar Sjöström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Vedholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonatan Vedholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Matsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 minutes of play, Röstånga IF's Andreas Matsson made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonatan Vedholm was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 85 minutes, Gunnar Sjöström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Röstånga IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gunnar Sjöström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Andreas Matsson came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Röstånga IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andreas Matsson couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Röstånga IF's zone, Villiam Vennerdal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivar Godholm came out of the goal and Villiam Vennerdal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Hannes Wennerberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Villiam Vennerdal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Man united's supporters rose to their feet, but Villiam Vennerdal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivar Godholm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Svante Sandell hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Andreas Matsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Vedholm having to interfere. Röstånga IF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
