John Aleberg struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Kurt Hultman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AL AHLY. 5 minutes into the match, Marwi Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Freddie Stabbe came free, but Kurt Hultman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Freddie Stabbe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kurt Hultman was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. John Aleberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kurt Hultman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John Aleberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Kurt Hultman made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when John Aleberg sent off a good shot on target. John Aleberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Kurt Hultman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. August Abrahamsson's late challenge caught a AL AHLY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. August Abrahamsson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Marwi Fotboll getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. August Abrahamsson hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, AL AHLY's Freddie Stabbe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kurt Hultman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Freddie Stabbe took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Kurt Hultman to make any attempt to save it. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Freddie Stabbe was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddie Hedman in the 53rd minute of play forced AL AHLY's goalkeeper Sören Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olof Gustavsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Sören Forsberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kurt Hultman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Aleberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Kurt Hultman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddie Stabbe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sören Forsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddie Hedman in the 84th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Freddie Stabbe in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kurt Hultman saved Marwi Fotboll from getting behind. In the 87th minute, Olof Gustavsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Freddie Stabbe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Hultman having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, John Aleberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. August Abrahamsson kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. A collision led to Marwi Fotboll getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Dan Rönn hit a great ball. Kurt Hultman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddie Stabbe, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Marwi Fotboll's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
