After having played for 3 minutes, Kent Godholm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oskarström IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kent Godholm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Torbjörn Bagge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greger Jonsson having to interfere. Greger Jonsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kenny Gustafsson's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Sebastian Hedvall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stråssa IFK's Greger Jonsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenny Gustafsson in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stråssa IFK's goalkeeper Greger Jonsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 30th minute of the game, David Aspengren landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Tommy Mickelsson fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oskarström IK's protests and gave Tommy Mickelsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st match minute, Oskarström IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Mickelsson to maneuver through the defense. If Kenny Gustafsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustaf Sigfridsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Algot Nilsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Hedvall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greger Jonsson having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Tommy Mickelsson hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 57thth minute of the game Kenny Gustafsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stråssa IFK's Greger Jonsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nils Vibjörnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. The supporters of Oskarström IK booed when Stråssa IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Wiman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stråssa IFK's Greger Jonsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Stråssa IFK from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Oskarström IK defense, Gustaf Sigfridsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Algot Nilsson. The Oskarström IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Algot Nilsson should have stopped the shot. Algot Nilsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaf Sigfridsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Stråssa IFK's zone, Kenny Gustafsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Greger Jonsson came out of the goal and Kenny Gustafsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
