Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bertil Söderqwist got the match started through his kick off. If Jan-Ove Ingvall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Einar Willig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig Hermansson in the 8th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rockneby's Ola Åström got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes, Mechanic Eye's Vidar Vikström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ernst Vidman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mechanic Eye reached it. Rockneby's Ernst Vidman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Rockneby from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Rockneby getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Tom Salkvist hit a great ball. In the 27th minute Stig Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Einar Willig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rockneby's Tage Pihlwall got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 33 played minutes Rockneby got a freekick which was hit by Ola Åström. Ernst Vidman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertil Söderqwist, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Jan-Ove Ingvall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ernst Vidman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Ove Ingvall blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernst Vidman having to make a save. With his leg Ernst Vidman managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Mechanic Eye's Jan-Ove Ingvall fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stig Hermansson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tom Salkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Einar Willig having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mechanic Eye's Leif Wallander got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Einar Willig made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Tage Pihlwall sent off a good shot on target. Vincent Lövkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vincent Lövkvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mechanic Eye booed when Rockneby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Lövkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Mechanic Eye's goal looked a bit too open when Stig Hermansson came free, but Einar Willig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stig Hermansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tage Pihlwall had several of the Mechanic Eye's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 67 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Einar Willig as he didn't even see the shot coming. 70 minutes into the match, Tage Pihlwall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Einar Willig. Mechanic Eye's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tage Pihlwall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 74th minute Jan-Ove Ingvall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernst Vidman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stig Hermansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Einar Willig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Tage Pihlwall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Einar Willig made a huge save. Bertil Söderqwist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernst Vidman having to interfere. After 84 played minutes Rockneby got a freekick which was hit by Max Kielstedt. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rockneby's goalkeeper Ernst Vidman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stig Hermansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stig Hermansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Einar Willig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stig Hermansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Tage Pihlwall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rockneby walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
