The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kennet Hökqvist in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Patrik Billock, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Patrik Billock made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when George Vallin sent off a good shot on target. When Jan-Åke Wallin fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Slogan Brothers's protests and gave Jan-Åke Wallin a yellow card for diving instead. Slogan Brothers's George Lange played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pelle Sigfridsson in the 14th minute of play. Holger Markusson charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Holger Markusson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Holger Markusson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kennet Hökqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrik Billock having to interfere. Sture Mårtensson kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. George Vallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrik Billock having to interfere. Pelle Sigfridsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over George Lange. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pelle Sigfridsson ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Folke Ekblom during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Folke Ekblom hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the game, Sunnemo FF's Pelle Sigfridsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. George Lange made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pelle Sigfridsson was the one to do the kick off. Holger Markusson made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Slogan Brothers's Jan-Åke Wallin. George Vallin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. George Vallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrik Billock having to interfere. Patrik Billock came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Slogan Brothers's George Vallin. But to his dismay, George Vallin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Kennet Hökqvist struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Patrik Billock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slogan Brothers. Kennet Hökqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Slogan Brothers's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Gunnar Waller scored to the left of an out of position George Lange, making the score, 1-3. After a rather tough play, Slogan Brothers's Jan-Åke Wallin got a free kick in the 75th minute. George Lange made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evert Liljeström in the 76th minute of play. George Vallin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute Kennet Hökqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrik Billock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrik Billock came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Slogan Brothers's Kennet Hökqvist. But to his dismay, Kennet Hökqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. 92 minutes into the game, Linus Dusett threw the ball into play from the sideline. Slogan Brothers's Folke Ekblom quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 94th minute, Kennet Hökqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
