The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3rd play minutes Nils-Emil Wenerdahl shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Henric Engström and just under the crossbar into goal. Henric Engström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nils-Emil Wenerdahl went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 9 minutes, Nils-Emil Wenerdahl made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Tandsbyn IK's Henric Engström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. John Granström scored 0-5 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henric Engström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, John Granström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mölndals BK's supporters rose to their feet, but John Granström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henric Engström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Emil Wenerdahl in the 25th minute of play forced Tandsbyn IK's goalkeeper Henric Engström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sune Sundström hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sune Sundström in the 33rd minute of play forced Mölndals BK's goalkeeper Jerry Höijer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37thth minute of the game Nils-Emil Wenerdahl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tandsbyn IK's Henric Engström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Nils-Emil Wenerdahl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henric Engström was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nils-Emil Wenerdahl in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henric Engström saved Tandsbyn IK from getting behind. Nils-Emil Wenerdahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henric Engström having to interfere. After the first half Mölndals BK were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When John Granström came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Mölndals BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Granström couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 56 in the game by Nils-Emil Wenerdahl from a close distance when the talented Henric Engström managed to make a qualified save. Tandsbyn IK's players were relieved. A collision led to Mölndals BK getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Marko Brenner hit a great ball. Mölndals BK's Pelle Wennerquist was substituted for Uno Olsmann. Marko Brenner kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Nils-Emil Wenerdahl in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Henric Engström, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Mölndals BK getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Nils-Emil Wenerdahl hit a great ball. Jerry Höijer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oskar Västlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Nils-Emil Wenerdahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tandsbyn IK's Henric Engström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Tandsbyn IK from getting a goal against them. When Erik Giliusson fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mölndals BK's protests and gave Erik Giliusson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th match minute, Mölndals BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Giliusson to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Ulf Lundström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the game, one of Tandsbyn IK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Henric Engström, was totally fooled by Mölndals BK's Erik Giliusson, who 96 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the match was over Mölndals BK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tandsbyn IK throughout the match.
