In the 8th minute Edgar Hellsing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stellan Hedvall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 played minutes Slottsbron BK got a freekick which was hit by Börge Björk. Sven-Åke Fribäck took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stellan Hedvall. Slottsbron BK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 13th match minute, Rockneby FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charlie Lindkvist to maneuver through the defense. Thor Abrahamsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but August Hultin made a huge save. Rockneby FF's Dan Örtendal got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andréas Aronsson in the 21st minute of play forced Slottsbron BK's goalkeeper Stellan Hedvall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Hellsing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Stellan Hedvall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan Örtendal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Rockneby FF fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Rockneby FF's Andréas Aronsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edgar Hellsing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. August Hultin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börge Björk in the 36th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Slottsbron BK's August Hultin threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Börge Björk, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Andréas Aronsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stellan Hedvall read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. August Hultin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helge Molander in the 42nd minute of play.

The wind increased when Andréas Aronsson made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Börge Björk made a precise shot to the right of August Hultin. Rockneby FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 55 minutes into the match, Slottsbron BK's goalkeeper Stellan Hedvall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dan Örtendal. When Edgar Hellsing came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Rockneby FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Hellsing couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Dan Örtendal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rockneby FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Örtendal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stellan Hedvall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute, Dan Örtendal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rockneby FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andréas Aronsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
