Stoby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Lökovic the free kick. Georg Kielstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Rikard Arenius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fritz Ekström in the 15th minute of play. Karl-Magnus Böcklund kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Rikard Arenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenny Hansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 26th minute Kenny Hansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rikard Arenius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Stoby booed when FC Lökovic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Kuse didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Carl Beck from long distance, 29 minutes into the match, got Jörgen Vedholm's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 31st minute, Sten Spets got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Lökovic's zone, Billy Kjellkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörgen Vedholm came out of the goal and Billy Kjellkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jörgen Vedholm made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Sten Spets sent off a good shot on target. Jörgen Vedholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Billy Kjellkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sten Spets struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Jörgen Vedholm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stoby. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of Stoby booed when FC Lökovic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Ljungberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Billy Kjellkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Billy Kjellkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stoby's supporters rose to their feet, but Billy Kjellkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jörgen Vedholm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samuel Ljungberg charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Samuel Ljungberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. FC Lökovic's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jörgen Vedholm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billy Kjellkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. FC Lökovic's Jörgen Vedholm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Kjellkvist in the 91st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Stoby's zone, Kenny Hansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rikard Arenius came out of the goal and Kenny Hansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stoby were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Lökovic for a fine match.
