The supporters of Väja IFK booed when Stoby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Hammarberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Hägg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rikard Arenius having to interfere. Sten Spets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Matthias Löfgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Emanuel Hägg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stoby's Rikard Arenius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Björnberg in the 27th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Stoby's Carl Beck broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Stoby getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Billy Kjellkvist hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Viktor Björnberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rikard Arenius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Hägg in the 42nd minute of the match. Viktor Björnberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rikard Arenius having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Emanuel Hägg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Väja IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Hägg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rikard Arenius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rikard Arenius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Björnberg in the 46th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viktor Björnberg in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rikard Arenius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 52nd minute, Karl-Magnus Böcklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Emanuel Hägg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Stoby's Rikard Arenius got control of the ball when Emanuel Hägg tried to sneak it across the goal line. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viktor Björnberg in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rikard Arenius saved Stoby from getting behind. Matthias Löfgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sten Spets's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Viktor Björnberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Rikard Arenius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Väja IFK's Emanuel Hägg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Rikard Arenius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Hägg in the 87th minute. When Emanuel Hägg came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Väja IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Hägg couldn't finish the play. Sten Spets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stoby's Rikard Arenius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Stoby from getting a goal against them. Väja IFK played a much better game than Stoby and deserved their victory. The Stoby players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
