Sven-Ove Pålsson's late challenge caught a X-Team FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Ove Pålsson helped the player get up and apologised. If Gabriel Bergqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Lidström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Sjöberg having to interfere. In the 17th minute, X-Team FC's Arne Nykvist dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as X-Team FC's Benjamin Lidström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tomas Sjöberg. That made the score 3-0 after 24 minutes of play. After having played for 26 minutes, Benjamin Lidström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. X-Team FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Lidström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Ted Larsfelt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 37 minutes of play Skänninge's Sven-Ove Pålsson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Skänninge's Sven-Ove Pålsson got a free kick in the 38th minute. Skänninge's Tomas Sjöberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Skänninge from getting a goal against them. Tomas Sjöberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Lidström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Sjöberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arne Nykvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd minute Benjamin Lidström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Sjöberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Benjamin Lidström managed to get in a good position for a shot. X-Team FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Lidström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Sjöberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benjamin Lidström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Sjöberg having to interfere. X-Team FC's Arne Nykvist got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Isac Lange had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Lidström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Sjöberg having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Skänninge's zone, Arne Nykvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomas Sjöberg came out of the goal and Arne Nykvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabriel Bergqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kenneth Uggla having to make a save. 80 minutes into the match, X-Team FC's Arne Nykvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tomas Sjöberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Hans Levander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 86 minutes of play, X-Team FC's Benjamin Lidström made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomas Sjöberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Arne Nykvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
