The supporters of AIK booed when Kåbdalis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Grönberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Adrian Hökqvist came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Hökqvist couldn't finish the play. Kåbdalis's Stig-Åke Axelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute Christoffer Hellbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Samuelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Kåbdalis getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Anton Grönberg hit a great ball. Simon Bergdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Hökqvist in the 20th minute of play. Stig-Åke Axelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Samuelsson having to interfere. Christoffer Hellbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Martin Kruuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christoffer Hellbom in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andreas Samuelsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner ended in Jörn Ahlberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AIK's Andreas Samuelsson did a great save. After 34 minutes, Christoffer Hellbom made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. AIK's Andreas Samuelsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Adrian Hökqvist took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Simon Bergdal. Simon Bergdal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 42 minutes, Ingvar Skröder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AIK and the Kåbdalis players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to AIK getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ingvar Skröder hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Christoffer Hellbom took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Andreas Samuelsson to make any attempt to save it. Andreas Samuelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christoffer Hellbom in the 47th minute of play. Christoffer Hellbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martin Kruuse was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Kåbdalis's Simon Bergdal got control of the ball when Adrian Hökqvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. AIK's Andreas Samuelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Åke Axelsson in the 59th minute of play. When Stig-Åke Axelsson came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Kåbdalis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig-Åke Axelsson couldn't finish the play. Adrian Hökqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Simon Bergdal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Kåbdalis's goalkeeper Simon Bergdal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrian Hökqvist. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Stig-Åke Axelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kåbdalis's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig-Åke Axelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andreas Samuelsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kåbdalis's Anton Grönberg got his second yellow card of the match in the 77th minute. The referee ordered Anton Grönberg off the ground. After 77 played minutes Kåbdalis got a freekick which was hit by Anton Grönberg. After having played for 83 minutes, Martin Kruuse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Kruuse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Kvarnström in the 97th minute of play forced Kåbdalis's goalkeeper Simon Bergdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the AIK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kåbdalis.
