Gottfrid Vesterberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roger Eliasson went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Niclas Hellqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Verner Martinsson in the 45th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Skepplanda's zone, George Wallman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niclas Hellqvist came out of the goal and George Wallman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claes Holmberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nedjeljko Runje charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nedjeljko Runje the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
